Rebel With a Cause by Franklin Graham

On the outside chance that you don't know who Franklin Graham is, he's the president of Samaritan's Purse, an organization that provides Christian charity all over the world. He's also the son of evangelist, Billy Graham. And that's been the challenge of Franklin's life, trying to live up to expectations for the son of Billy Graham.

The book was first published in 1995, and it traces Franklin's life from childhood through the publication date. He was a rebel, but he did not get into serious trouble. He did not do well in school, for the most part. However, he managed to work through his rebellious youth to become a man of God like his father. Franklin has been in some dangerous places doing God's work---places like war-torn Lebanon and Rwanda. His descriptions of these incidents is riveting. For years, he would not preach, but by the time this book was published, he had begun to preach some.

I hope that he decides to do a sequel to this book. Franklin does not seem to be as popular as his father, but I think, if people knew him better, they would have a different opinion.
